If you attend an appointment on site at Kings and you are prescribed medications which you can only get from the hospital, please ensure you collect these from the pharmacy on the day of the appointment.

In order to make this process quicker and more convenient there are two new ways to get your prescription booked in.

If you have your bloods taken before your appointment

KFM Outpatient Pharmacy have opened a kiosk near the help desk at the front entrance of the Golden Jubilee wing. Once you have had your appointment and a prescription has been written please go to this kiosk. The staff member there will book in your prescription and give you a ticket number.

You will then wait inside the main hospital until you receive a text to say your medication is ready for collection and then go to the outpatient pharmacy to pick up your medications. Ticket numbers which are ready for collection will also be displayed on a screen inside the Golden Jubilee Wing. Your medications should be ready to collect within half an hour of them being booked in.

If you are having your bloods taken after your appointment

The pharmacist in the outpatient clinic (in quiet room 1) will be able to book in your prescription and give you a ticket number. The pharmacy will start to prepare your medications whilst you are waiting to have your bloods taken and you will receive a text when your medications are ready to collect. You can then go to the pharmacy to pick these up as you leave the hospital.
