For those patients taking Sirolimus, Kings Liver Pharmacy have asked us to convey the following information:

‘Sirolimus is changing from rapamune brand to a generic. It is still being made by the same drug company. If you take this medication, the drug you will now receive is bioequivalent to rapamune – which means it works in exactly the same way and there is no clinical difference. The only slight change you may notice is to the packaging. If you do have any concerns about this please do not hesitate to reach out to the Kings liver pharmacy team’.
